Kibra Member of Parliament Ken Okoth has welcomed Rosemary Odinga in the race to succeed in the area but urged competition to base on policies and not incitement.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Mikkemzeyya.com, the MP has also expressed confidence that he will win ODM party nomination ticket to defend the seat.
The vocal politician says Rosemary has every democratic right to run for the seat but added that supporters will decide this during nominations which he hopes will be free and fair.
Meanwhile, the Nubian Community living in Kibra is crying foul over what they term as discrimination in the issuance of ID cards. Human Rights activist from Nubian Rights Forum some members of the community have been denied National Identification making it difficult to participate in political processes as they are being compelled to undergo vetting before they are issued the card.
They are now asking President Uhuru Kenyatta to ensure that the directive to the National Registration Bureau that ID cards are to be issued within three days is fully implemented countrywide.
