The Nairobi county government has launched a new community pharmacy at Kibra’s DO grounds.
The pharmacy will deal with provision of medication on high blood pressure and diabetics related problems to the people of Kibra and it will be selling medicines at a more affordable price compared to other pharmacy.
The pharmacy funded by AMREF aims at offering treatment to the people of Kibra, speaking at the event the assistant county commissioner Kibra Sub-county Mr. Jessy Ithae emphasized on the importance of the Pharmacy to the community.
“we thank everyone for making this a success and considering Kibra in setting it up, the good thing with this pharmacy is that every medicine will be cost subsidized so as to make it easy for our people to afford. As the government, we want medicines to be accessible to our people and this project is a clear indication of it” He said.
In attendance was the Kibra chief Mr. Shaban Juma who congratulated AMREF for sponsoring and making it happen
“This a great thing to happen in Kibra and we hope the people will embrace this services and collaborate with the doctors to make sure people get quality medication”
